Why do you need my verification documents and what documents are acceptable?

To help keep your account and identity safe, we may request for additional documents to verify your identity or ownership of payment methods. We typically request one or more of the following: 

Government Issued Identification Card

• State Issued Driver’s License
• State Issued Identification Card
• Passport
• US Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
• Non-Citizen Travel Document
• Visa
• Work Permit

A selfie

• You will be asked to take a video of your face in real-time, and Persona checks that the individual is live and real. If a government ID was also submitted, the face captured in the selfie is compared against the face in the government ID.

Proof of Address 

• Bank Statement
• Utility bill

Additional requirements for ITIN users:

• Permanent Labor Certification w/ USCIS application or authorization
• Employment Authorization Document (EAD)
• U.S. Work or Student VISA
• I-765 Form
